I never went to church growing up. It just kinda happened.
I never set out to become a worship leader. I never even knew there was such a thing. It just kinda happened.
I never imagined living in Kohala on the Big Island of Hawai’i . It just kinda happened.
In all these things, there was an opportunity; to do what I had always done, or take a chance and try something different…try something new…take the road less travelled.
On this journey, I have come to find that God is good.
It’s cliché, but that is what I have come to find.
I’ve also found that songs and music have been helpful to me as I try to express my love and gratitude to Him and for all He’s done. After being on staff with YWAM (Holoholo Ministries for 3 years) and Kaka’ako Christian Fellowship (for 10 years), I feel that I have a good understanding of what pastors and worship leaders go through each service in trying to help their congregations connect and meet with God. If you are needing help in the area of worship I would love to chat with you and see how we might be able to work together to help you and your church (or ministry) grow in that area. What does that look like? Maybe be a guest worship leader? Help mentor a new worship leader or group? Host/facilitate a “talk story” time? I’m not sure myself, but I’d love to connect and see how we might be able to partner up!
